Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot: Box O' Blushes Unboxing, Swatches, and Review

HALLLOOOWW! (As Marcus Butler would say)
Today, I bring to you a cheeky holiday gift set unboxing! We are going to be talking about Benefits Cheeky Sweet Spot Limited Edition Box Set! I was so so so ecstatic when I saw this on Sephora. I think it's the perfect way for an individual to experience the awesomeness of Benefit's blushes without individually purchasing all of them. Plus it comes with the highlighter watt's up (which I totally been wanting for forever!) They are currently sold out online (Sephora, Benefit.com), but they are still available in stores last I checked.  (Macys, Sephora)
However, if you are unable to go to a local store, or don't have one at your convnince here are some fancy links where you can get your hand on these blushes

...

My Overall Review:
9/10
Love this Set! I highly reccomend guys or gals looking to expand their blush/bronzer collection to purchase this set. Also, this set makes a great holiday/birthday gift! This is limited edition so if you are eyeing this I would hop on it fast. Benefit blushes/bronzers are pretty well formulated and have decent staying power. I own the Hoola bronzer already, (and I've hit pan!) and it's a great contour and all over bronzer. It has lasted me forever (2 years), and I still have a decet amount left. The brush it comes with is not very durable. I have washed the brush that comes with the hoola bronzer only a handful of time and it's pretty much wear and tear. So definitely invest in a good cheek blush! I would also like to add that some of these blushes may not show up too well on darker skin tones o that may be something to consider. Anyways, thanks for reading and have a nice day/night! (:

Bare Faced

Hello all my fellow Internet users! Today I am talking about quite a scary topic. I'm not going to give you the whole shabang right now (that's for a different blog post), but basically I've been struggling with some intense acne since 6th grade. However, last year (my senior year of high school), the majority of my acne cleared up and I had CLEAR skin. Sadly, that didn't last very long and low and behold this summer it came back. So technically, I had clear skin for less than a whole year -___-

This time around my skin has been consistently getting worse very single day. Sometimes it would appear as if it was getting slightly better only to get worse again. It's so bad right now to the point where my face literally has been hurting. I've cried countless days and nights, and for the most part I've just been eeling really down for the past few months. I've been feeling unworthy and just gross. I have always been self conscious, but having my skin looking like I have a zombie flesh eating disease just made my self cosciousness ten times worse. It's been pretty hard trying to look in the mirror at my reflection.

My skin has been so bad I can't even properly apply makeup to cover my acne because my skin is extremely dry (yet oily).  When I try to apply makeup my skin just ends up looking disgusting: flaky, cakey, and basically like I had dandruff on my face. It feels impossible to find the perfect foundation, concealer, or any makeup product to cover the extreme redness on my face. I've become really depressed and have been avoiding hanging out with friends. I'm currently in a completely new environment at school where no one knows me except literally like 5 people. It's been about three full months of school and I haven't made a single new friend.

Oops, I'm getting too detailed .Anyways the point of this post is I finally went out makeup free. I went outside bare faced for three days (Veteran's Day Weekend) and the experience was sort of surprising. I'll jump to some pictures right now.

P.S. The picture below are actually improved acne pictures! These are pictures after my second beauty treatment.

IF YOU GET GROSSED OUT EASILY DON'T READ THE REST OF THIS POST.
(It's okay. I totally understand, I'm grossed out by my own skin).

Bare Faced Selfie in Neiman Marcus's Bathroom!
(Not wearing contacts, but it looks like I am?)
They are my real eye balls I swear lol.

Awk Outfit Picture while you prepare yourself for
close-up nastiness.

Second day close up pictures of my bare faced weekend.
THIRD DAY:

So I posted the picture above on my instagram but I cut out my face. Although I was able to go out to the mall, and other very public places for three days, I still am not able to and probably will not be able to show my bare skin to people I really know.

Un-cut picture above lol.
Just casually slipping in a few (bad-quality) outfit pictures~

Conclusion:

So I just wanted to share this on the Internet (yikes) because honestly I've been feeling like shit. My skin has really taken a huge toll on my emotional state, I know there are other people out there with really bad acne too, maybe even worse than mine, but it feels like I never see these type of people around me. Everywhere I look all I see is clear skin. So hopefully this helps some fellow people out there know they aren't alone in the struggle! Going out bare faced was extremely scary. I avoided eye contact with most people on the first day and for the most part walked looking down. But then I started realizing that people weren't treating much different from when I had makeup on. Sure I did get a couple weird and disgusted stares, but for the most part I started to feel more comfortable in my own skin. By the third day I was almost a pro. I totally almost forgot I had no makeup on! This is easier said then done though. Although I was able to go out in public bare face near complete STRANGERS, I still can't go anywhere near bare faced near people I really know. It did feel really good to let my skin breathe, but for now I'm still avoiding hanging out with friends and meeting new people. My skin is starting to get better because I am now on medication and getting skin treatment, but it will take a while.

So maybe try going out bare faced one day? You might be amazed by how liberated you end up feeling(: Also, I am now slighlty more comfortable in my own skin. I don't feel as depressed when I look in the mirror now.

Sephora Haul: Urban Decay All Nighter Spray, Give Me Some Lip, Soap and Glory Clarity Face Soap (Mini Review and Swatches)

I love me some Sephora!! I am also very very happy to announce that I have sucessfully become a VIB Sephora Member starting earlier this fall! (And I'm pretty close to becoming a VIB Rouge member, ahh! Exciting). Anways, here is a late post haul that I actuall purchased about half a month ago. But I thought I would share it with you since I have pictures and it is holiday season, so this ma be helpful to all you little makeup gift givers! Enjoy :D

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray: I'm sorry to say that I tried to
veer away from this spray and ventured out to try a few others. BUT I am
back and will stay back for a while. So sorry I ever left, but this by far still the best
setting spray I ever used. This is a great gift (whether it be for someone else or yourself!)
because it's basically the price of one for TWO!? This is still in stock, so if you are faithful to
this spray and know you will restock, I'd suggest to restock now and save it for later. (Saving money is your friend!)
[UPDATE: Currently out of stock but they may restock again for the holiday season, kepp our eyes peeled!]

Give Me Some Lip: ($25, $90 Value)
 This set contains:

- 0.03 oz Urban Decay Mini Naked Revolution Lipstick
- 0.12 oz Nars Deluxe Orgasm Lip Gloss
- 0.07 oz Buxom Mini Full On Lip Cream in White Russian
- 0.02 oz Marc Jacobs Mini Lust for Lacquer in Kissability
- 0.05 oz Deluxe Bite High Pigment Lip Pencil in Meritage
- 0.20 oz Full-size Smashbox Be Legendary Gloss in Pout

(In Sunlight)

(Indoor Lighting)

 And another one in sunlight!
So far I'm really loving this set! My favorites are the Urban Decay Revolution and Smashbox's Pout! I use that combo on a weekly basis. The Smashbox Pout really looks good over any lipstick. It just kinda adds a extra pazzaz to whatever you are wearing. The Buxom one kinda stings my lips, regardless I still love the color! The Marc Jacobs has been a hard one to us so far, but I'm sure I'll figure out a look that goes with it soon. Overall, I'm pretty glad with this purchase and would reccomend it to lip junkies or starters! :D

This is a great light exfoliating cleanser. Personally, I don't think it does musch exfoliating. The beads are rather large but you dont get that scratchy feeling as you when you use other exfoliating cleansers. I think this is a great face wash for sensite skin guys and gals. I do really enjoy this cleanser but am defintely on the fence about repurchasing because although it worked for me for a while my skin type has chaged so it dosen't really suit me anymore.

Back to Basics

Hello everyone! It's pretty much been a whole enitre year since I've posted. Life has been pretty crazy. I've had some personal issues that have been keeping me from blogging and interacting with the rest of the world, but I am happy to be back and hopefully will be able to post more consistently!
Just going to start off with a quick outfit post. Nothing fancy, just something super casual. Let's just jump right in ~~

Peep at my little sister. Haha!

I was pretty bummed that day because I lost one of my favorite bracelets of all time. I guess it fell off my write while I was getting gas. I got it from Urban Outfitters for like 14-16 bucks (so pricey~~). But anyways here is a picture of it below.

Hope whoever picked it up treats it well :'(

#1

Yay, first blogged outfit of 2014!(:
I really, really want to blog more and I am going to try to be more consistent this year. It's been really hard trying to juggle all the chaotic things in my life recently, but I'll try my best to post as often as I can. This is the outfit I wore on Sunday. I felt very fancy with my fluffy mohair like cardigan (my sister calls it my yetti fur), black pumps, and a big floppy hat. I wore a nude lip (brownish nude with a slight hint of red) with this look.

Top, Cardigan,Shorts: Forever21
Shoes: H&M
Hat: Ebay

sidenote: defs get this cardigan, so soft!!
